about

departure- we are always leaving somewhere and heading somewhere else...like Arches, spanning from here to there.

May 29th, 2019 marks the two year Anniversary for The Arches on Bandcamp and all we can say is - what a crazy, wonderful ride! What started as a garage band of college friends has evolved into an art project that has gained momentum. Album themes and album covers are all part of the art project. The goal was to write short, melodic songs and not dwell on them in endless production and decision making. We invite guests to assist for vocals and periodic instrument assistance. Collaboration over the internet makes track sharing simple. Each musical sketch is written, played and recorded, mixed and mastered within an hour or two. This makes it easy to leave songs behind and move on to the next inspiration. Better done than perfect. There is too much perfection out there anyways...
Thank you for listening to The Arches!
